Update: FirePlace Etsy Store for T Shirts and More!  

We are so excited to announce FirePlace SUNDAY at Coldwater Baptist in Concord, NC on June 7^th, 2026 and probably an annual event!  (We might do one the Sunday before Thanksgiving too if there’s enough interest!). We will have a Blessed App live together from the sanctuary at 8am EST followed by a Coldwater Baptist service at 11 am EST.  As folks make plans to be a part of this unique gathering, we will make some plans to hang out and have fun together.  We might have lunch or dinner at Olive Garden!  There’ll be some fun merry-go-round time planned out for sure!  Depending on when folks arrive, we’ll see how the details for gatherings come together.  We are located near Charlotte, NC and the closest small airport is Concord Padgett Airport, code USA, 9000 Aviation Boulevard.  This airport is 20 minutes from the church and in the heart of shopping and hotels of every kind imaginable.  We have go karts and an aquarium nearby.  There are also NASCAR shops and museums, plus the Billy Graham Library.  But hours are limited on weekends so be aware!

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is only 40 minutes from the church (no traffic/not in rush hours). The main area with shops and hotels is right on the halfway point between that airport and the church.  Another airport in Greensboro is about an hour and a half away, and the airport in Ashville is two and a half hours away.  So you have lots of options to choose from!  The area with shops and hotels near the small Concord airport has, for example, a Hampton Inn and Suites located at 9850 Weddington Road in Concord.  There are many options right around there including The Great Wolf Lodge along on Weddington.  The Charlotte Motor Speedway is super close by!

Coldwater Baptist is located at 1045 Union Street South in Concord, on the rural side of town.  It’s near old airport road heading up to Mount Pleasant area.

Sunflower Jessica and Jack already have a reservation for SPARK in Kannapolis, which is about as close a hotel as you can get to the church property.  I actually stayed in this same hotel on my first visit to the church here.  Jessica’s email address is:  JGoggins@ptd.net if you are interested in coordinating with her!  Spark by Hilton in Kannapolis is located at 3033 Cloverleaf Parkway, Kannapolis, NC.  It is 15 minutes from the church.  (704) 795-4888.
